Are all full spectrum CBD oils created equal?

Of the three choices (full spectrum, broad spectrum, CBD isolate), full spectrum CBD oil is the most popular.
The reason being the Entourage Effect (more about this in a minute). The key question I want to answer today is when you buy full spectrum oil from one company, is what you receive the same as when you buy it from a different company?
To sort this out, first, let’s look at a brief explanation of the three major categories of CBD oil starting with…
ONE — Full spectrum oil
Full spectrum CBD oil comprises the following…
Cannabinoids
While CBD is the most prevalent cannabinoid in hemp-derived CBD, other notable cannabinoids often found in full spectrum CBD include cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), Δ9–tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabichromene (CBC)—all of which are thought to benefit your general wellness.
Terpenes
Terpenes are naturally occurring organic compounds in plants (and some animals). There are over 150 terpenes in cannabis. As well as giving hemp its smell, color, and taste, terpenes also have health benefits, such as aiding with memory, and stress reduction.
Flavonoids
Flavonoids are compounds that are also found in many fruits and vegetables. It’s estimated that up to 10% of the various cannabis compounds are flavonoids. Over twenty flavonoids have been identified as existing in cannabis (over 6,000 flavonoids have been identified in total). As well as contributing to the smell of cannabis, flavonoids have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fatty acids.
CBD oil contains omega-3s, including omega-6 fatty acids, which aid with your heart health, your blood pressure, and for boosting your immune system. CBD oil also contains amino acids. Amino acids play a role in almost all systems throughout your body, including healing, the growth of muscles, connective tissue, and skin, and maintaining healthy skin, hair, and nails. CBD oil also contains Vitamin B6, B12, riboflavin, niacin, iron, and thiamine.
TWO — Broad spectrum oil
Broad spectrum oil is full spectrum oil with the THC removed. If for whatever reason, you don’t want any THC entering your body, broad spectrum CBD oil is ideal for you.
THREE — CBD isolate
CBD Isolate is made by isolating CBD and then refining it to a single compound, which gives you an almost pure (about 99%) highly potent dose of CBD. CBD isolates are mostly found in a crystalline form that is tasteless.
The Entourage Effects
The basic idea behind the Entourage Effect is that when cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc. are present together, they have a synergistic effect within your body. To put it another way, the wellness, health, and increased vitality you will experience will be enhanced because of the Entourage Effect with full spectrum.
Now while you will still receive Entourage Effect benefits from broad spectrum CBD oil, the effect will be more powerful with full spectrum CBD oil. Studies have shown that CBD and THC work well together. So, if you want the maximum benefits of the Entourage Effect, full spectrum CBD oil is the way to go.
Note: Because CBD isolate contains CBD only, the Entourage Effect doesn’t apply.
So… are all full spectrum CBD oils the same?
The answer lies in the lab report. If you search the Internet, you see that many sites list CBD oil as containing “more than 100 cannabinoids” or “at least 113 cannabinoids.” This is all fine and good and accurate. They appear in full spectrum CBD oil but only in trace amounts.
When coming up with our special blend of full spectrum CBD oil, Nature’s Legend made a point when working with our US Hemp Authority Certified partner in Colorado to pack as many cannabinoids into our full spectrum CBD as possible in more than just trace amounts.
If you look at the lab report for our full spectrum CBD oil, you’ll see that the following cannabinoids are found in more than just trace amounts…
Cannabinol (CBN)
Cannabidivarin (CBDV)
Cannabichromene (CBC)
Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta 9THC)
Delta-8-Tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta 8THC)
Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV)
In addition to the above cannabinoids, Nature’s Legend full spectrum CBD oil also contains 150 mg of CBG. CBG is thought to reduce pain due to exercise, promote healthy sleep, and promote healthy skin (among other things).
So, what you’re getting besides CBD (with less than 3% of Delta 9THC) is six additional cannabinoids in more than trace amounts. If you check the lab reports of our competition, you’ll discover that it’s rare to have a full spectrum CBD oil so packed full of cannabinoids. Some have four or five additional cannabinoids; others have fewer additional cannabinoids.
In conclusion, not all full spectrum CBD oil is created equal. We always make it a point to make sure we’re providing you with a product packed with the best ingredients possible to maximize the wellness benefit you experience with our CBD.
